At - Sunrice GlobalChef Academy


The academy was conceptualized in 1999 by our founder Dr Kwan Lui and started its operations in 2001 with the aim of being an Asian Culinary Academy


By 2004, At-Sunrice has expanded its vision to embrace both Asian and Western cuisines. Today, the academy is EduTrust certified and is recognised by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) as a National CET Institute (NCI) administering nationally-recognised diplomas, is partnered with America's world class university Johnson & Wales University (JWU) and is a member of the American Culinary Federation (ACF).

The University is located at 28 Tai Seng Street, level 5.

The At-Sunrice faculty of well-travelled ethnic chefs work alongside more than 40 professors and chef instructors from Johnson & Wales University (JWU) in delivering world class culinary arts education.

National Assessment Centre for Food and Beverage WSQ Framework
At-Sunrice GlobalChef Academy houses the National Assessment Centre (NAC) for Food and Beverage Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) Framework by Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA). NAC conducts assessments by Assessment Only Pathway (AOP) leading to WSQ.

AOP provides the avenue for Food & Beverage workforce in Singapore to formalise their skills and knowledge by attaining WSQ. The AOP follows ‘Challenge Test’ as the method to assess skills and knowledge of candidates. Competency structures of these qualifications are aligned to the Enhanced Food and Beverage WSQ Framework by WDA.
