France has a very simple procedure of Visa. Study in France for Indian students requires of them to submit their visa documents through an online application for Visa with Campus France.
An interview will be conducted by Campus France and the documents will be submitted to the consulate, upon which students receive their visa.
Process
a. How many days prior should a student apply for the student visa
As study in France consultants, we recommend that visa appointments at a French consulate must take place no more than 90 days before your departure to France.
Document Checklist
Documents consists of 3 sets:-
SET 1
Passport copy Complete the Campus France application procedures (in the PASTEL system) before starting the visa application procedures on their website www.campusfrance.org . Request a student visa at your assigned French consulate. Go to the consulate for a visa interview. Your appointment at the consulate should take place at least two weeks before your planned date of departure for France.
SET 2
Proof of your Resources for the tuition fees and living expenses for the period of your stay during your study in France.
SET 3
Copies of your Degrees, Diplomas/Certificates attested and notarised.
Visa Application Fee
Deposit Rs. 8,500/- (in favour of INSTITUT FRANCAIS EN INDE, at a BNP PARIBAS branch) by filling a deposit slip available in the bank.
Processing time
As study in France consultants we usually see that it takes at least five to seven business days for a visa to be granted – or longer, depending on the situation.
English Ability Requirements
IELTS score of 6.0 bands is required for taking an admission in any of the French institutions. Most institutes are comfortable with the level of English and do not necessarily ask for a TOEFL or IELTS (some exceptions exist, especially if they cannot ascertain the level of linguistic competence of the student in a telephonic interview)
