Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) is a public state university located in Chicago Illinois.its founding to 1867 it was first established as a separate branch of a public college in 1949.The University has an enrollment of more than 10,000 students; African American, Hispanic, Asian and Native American students represent nearly 60 percent of the student body.University offers more than 80 undergraduate and graduate programs in the arts, sciences, education, and business.
Newsweek magazine named Northeastern Illinois University the sixth “Best Investment†in the United States and number one in Illinois. Northeastern shares the top-ten spot with Harvard, Stanford, Princeton and MIT.
